These terms cover using Cynth and joining early access. Cynth is proprietary software in active development. We've written this to be read, not to be survived.
Cynth is proprietary, closed-source software for sending files directly between devices and trusted contacts. It is licensed to you for use, not sold; all rights are reserved. You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute it except as the applicable law allows despite this restriction.
Cynth is in active development. Joining the waitlist adds your email so we can send one message when Cynth is ready for your platform (see the privacy page). Early-access builds may change, break, or be withdrawn. Features described on this site are intentions, not guarantees, until they ship.
Cynth is free during early access. Transfers between your own devices are free forever. Paid Pro and Teams plans arrive later with pricing stated plainly at the time; using them is optional and never a condition of the privacy guarantees. See pricing.
Because we never see your file content, we can't police it — which makes this your responsibility. You agree not to use Cynth to:
You are responsible for the files you send and the people you send them to. Cynth delivers to the endpoint you choose; it can't control what a recipient does afterward.
You are responsible for keeping your devices and any account credentials secure. Your device identity keys live on your devices; if you lose a device, revoke it. We can't recover keys we never hold.
We aim for a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability during early access. Signaling and relay infrastructure may be updated, rate-limited, or briefly unavailable. Direct LAN transfers do not depend on our servers at all.
Cynth is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for lost data, failed or delayed transfers, or indirect or consequential damages. Keep your own backups of anything important; a transfer tool is not a backup. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms as the product develops. The date above marks the current version; material changes will be communicated plainly.
